Scrapbook One (1952-1954) contains photographs of Kappa Chapter members and art exhibits, programs from art exhibits, UND Honors Day Convocation program (1954), newspaper clippings, and homemade Christmas cards. Several pages are devoted to Paul E. Barr, including his obituary and pictures of his artwork. Scrapbook Two (1951-1952) contains photographs of Kappa Chapter members and art exhibits, programs from art exhibits, UND Honors Day Convocation program (1951), newspaper clippings, homemade Christmas cards, and issues of Palette (Spring 1951, Spring 1952). Pamphlets from Minneapolis, including tourist and museum guides, area also included. Scrapbook Three (1948-1950) contains photographs of Kappa Chapter members and art exhibits, programs from art exhibits, UND Honors Day Convocation program (1950), newspaper clippings, homemade Christmas cards, and sheet music for "In the Garden Above" (1947) by Rudolph C. Bergstrom. Scrapbook Four (1922-1946) contains charters from Delta Phi Delta authorizing the establishment of the Kappa Chapter (December 2, 1922) and the Grand Forks Alumni Chapter (undated), and issues of the Delta Phi Delta Newsletter (January 1943, February 1943, March 1943, November 1943, January 1944, March 1944, March 1945, October 1945). Also included are photographs of Kappa Chapter members and art exhibits (1940-1946), programs from art exhibits, UND Honors Day Convocation programs (1942, 1944, 1945, 1946), newspaper clippings (1939-1946), homemade Christmas cards, and unpublished sketches.

Delta Phi Delta (DPD) is the oldest national honorary art fraternity in the United States. Organized as the Palette Club in 1909 at the University of Kansas, it was later renamed DPD. Its official magazine, Palette, began publication in 1911. The Kappa Chapter of DPD was chartered at the University of North Dakota on December 2, 1922. Paul Everett Barr was born in Tipton County, Indiana, on November 25, 1892. Barr's first exhibit was in the St. Louis Exposition in 1904, he was only 11 years old. Barr grew up on an Indiana farm until he graduated from Tipton High School in 1911. He attended eight colleges and universities, receiving his A. B. and M.
